You would be surprised at the number of conspicuous errors that can be found in a manuscript, MS, at least I was. Not only that, but also the amount of time it takes to edit and polish a MS. For normal people, a fraction of the time I took would suffice, but I try to be exceptional in everything I do. *grin*
Yes this step stretched out over a year for me, not by choice and if I can help it, never again. But as with every step in my book journey, I have learned a LOT.
People are people, no matter what occupation or position they hold. When you find someone to work with that you enjoy interacting with, life is so much sweeter.
