To get away and really have a break, a real vacation, you know what you have to do. Turn it off.
The next step is: get away. Those of us in the US do this by taking a long weekend. Or if you are feeling like you really want to do it right, a whole week. My husband works with the European side of his company and he enlightened me the other day. Most of the Europeans he works with take off multiple weeks at a time, and you can’t get a hold of them!
The clouds parted and rays of sunshine shone on my face. What a novel idea and one that would guarantee you to slip into relaxation mode and stay there for more than 12 hours.
Only I can’t seem to do that. Do what I say and not as I do sort of thing going on. I wish I could but the responsibility is there in the palm of my hand.
Real life is demanding. Writing is demanding. And yet I look at this picture and I think I need to disappear for a real vacation.
What about you? Do you have the guts to cut the cord?
