Let me give you a quick run down of what I have been up to:
- Husband got a new job (yay!)
- Moved my little family to a new home.
- Kept working at old job, couldn’t leave them hanging...just couldn’t.
- Began new job while still doing old job. Why not? Two jobs, wife, mother, running a home, and trying to write: *brush dirt off my shoulder*
I missed working on my book like an addict misses their hallowed vice.
With a toast of my red wine I got back to it, only to realize something important. I have a new view on my work! How did that happen and how did I miss all of these glaringly obvious mistakes and failures to convey my visions?
I had been stuck in a hole, unable to see where I was going wrong. I needed a new perspective, same as when I climbed the side of the mountain and sat on the tree stump. To my right was a steep drop off which allowed me a clear view of the valley below. So simple, remove yourself from the well traveled paths and breathe some fresh air.
These crazy months have really been a blessing because now I look at my book and see the big picture instead of being hung up on little things. Not to mention all the reorganizing I just did. Seriously...those gnomes!
